Jason Todd was the second Robin, after Dick Grayson became Nightwing. When Jason was captured and seemingly killed by the Joker, Batman vowed not to take on another partner.
Jason was later revived by Talia Al Ghul as the violent vigilante Red Hood, putting him at odds with Batman.
